All the coffee we serve at Bond St. is roasted by Horsham Coffee Roaster based just a short drive north of Brighton. Our coffee is crafted with great pride, care and attention, and we aim to provide you with an outstanding, unique and memorable coffee experience.
Our constantly changing single-origin menu highlights the incredible flavour profiles of the different coffees we serve from around the world. We invite and encourage you to engage with us about which coffee you might prefer! Always ethically traded and sourced from privately owned farms and co-operatives of small hold farmers around the world. Roasted by us at our roastery near Handcross, West Sussex.
We have certain preferences on how we serve our coffee, in order to showcase the skills of our roasters and baristi. Our recipes are designed to emphasise the natural flavour of our coffee. As our coffees will often have vibrant, subtle and complex flavours, including natural sweetness, we recommend that you taste your coffee before adding sugar.
To make our espresso we use bottomless portafilters with our La Marzocco Strada EP espresso machine. This enables us to recognise when the espresso we’re making has extracted properly, thus enabling us to maximise the coffee’s unique flavour. The La Marzocco Strada EP features advanced pressure profiling allowing us to maximize out extraction potential.
We serve our espresso in a large, un-warmed cup as this allows the coffee to have a thinner layer of cremé, making it taste sweeter, while also allowing the espresso to cool quicker making the drink instantly enjoyable.
All milk based espresso drinks are served with latte art. We use whole milk from Downsview Farm in East Sussex which we heat to 55-60 degrees to bring out the natural sweetness of the milk. Oat milk is available as an alternative at no extra cost.
As well as offering a choice of two single-origin coffees for all espresso based drinks, we also invite you to try our single origin filter coffee. Our filter coffees are brewed light which makes them delicately aromatic and so we serve them black.
